Yoga for me means freedom and becoming whole.

When I think back to my childhood, I fondly remember playing in nature. Out in the woods and fields were my playgrounds and my imagination was endless. I loved to watch the delicacy of a flower, the wind in the trees or a heavy downpour. In doing so, I was in motion a lot, I was always on the move. This movement runs through my life, I danced  everything that touched me . After 16 years on the dance stage I became ill, my body gave a clear signal to change.
What do I do to recognize the cause of illness.
I learned to listen to my body even better and to activate my self-healing powers through meditative work with the body. I was now teaching differently and was more open to what dance and yoga were doing to me. With my teacher, Yogacharya Ananda Leone, I learned to perceived my strength, my roots and the wonderful work with the breath, with pranayama. I was able to continue to grow. Today I am happy about all the fantastic ways  that I am allowed to go and I am excited about more that are welcome to follow.
"There is no path to happiness, happiness is the path." (Buddha)

History in Brief

Born 5.6.1965. I am trained as a yogini and professional dancer, as a yoga teacher and as a lecturer in contemporary dance, improvisation and creative children's dance. I have been teaching dance for 36 years and yoga (BDY/EYU) in recreational and educational settings since 2016.

I did the yoga teacher training (BDY/EYU) with over 1000 teaching hours with Yogacharya Ananda Leone at the Yogaakademie Berlin.

I have taught at Dock 11 and at the EHB Berlin, at Seneca Intensiv, in the yoga room Zossen and of course in my own yoga room in Berlin-Schmöckwitz, the Licht-Werk-Statt.

I did advanced trainings in Shiatsu, in TCM and took classes with a healer.

And I always like to learn new things, like Anusara Yoga (Bridget Kramer Woods) and Spiral-Dynamics (Eva Hager-Fostenlechner).

Now I live on the Azores island of São Miguel and offer holistic dance and movement meditation in our idyllic "Casa OM" alongside shiva shakti yoga.

Influenced by my many years of experience as a dancer and dance teacher, exercises from other alternative movement arts such as Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais and Shiatsu flow into my work.  My heart's desire is to bring people back into contact with the body, with themselves and with nature. I love working consciously with the body, as it gives us signals. Listening to the signals of our body, we develop a wonderful tool on our lifes journey.
